More Murals for the Southside

We have painted some more murals for the Southside. The new ones are in Gibb's Entry and Haddon's Court Pends, Nicolson Street. Kate George, the artist who designed the Gifford Park murals, has created some great designs, and work began on 2nd July 2018. This was a community effort, a community event. Anyone who wanted to get involved could do so. All sorts of people came along to help - some just happened to pass by and saw us at work and came and joined in. Others, particularly people living nearby, contributed lots of time. So thanks to everyone who helped. The new murals have made a big difference to the area, and it's good to see people passing through stopping to take photos. Just the place for a selfie! Thanks too to Edinburgh University and the City of Edinburgh Council who provided the funds, and lots of people who helped by giving us pots to put paint in, and cloths for cleaning up. A real community effort we can all be proud of.
